America's Test Kitchen: Vegan for Everybody
Friday, April 28th at 7pm
"Eating vegan” is no longer the polarizing concept it once was, and it’s not just full-time vegans who are interested in plant-based meals. There are many reasons why you may choose to prepare a vegan recipe, even just occasionally. Maybe you’re baking a birthday cake for a loved one. Maybe you want to add more whole grains and vegetables to your diet, so you try eating vegan once a week, or for a month. Or maybe you’re simply intrigued by the ingredients and flavors in vegan cuisine. The people behind America's Test Kitchen were, and that’s why they published their first vegan cookbook, one that suits the needs of everyone—whether you’re a strict vegan or not. In doing so, they developed some amazingrecipes (with no animal products—period), showing that veganism isn’t about making sacrifices or substitutions but about celebrating a new way to eat.
Please join us to meet the America's Test Kitchen representative Jack Bishop, who will be here to talk about the book and share samples from the recipes. RSVPs are appreciated. Call 310-318-0900 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
